Context Attempts

Experimenting with surfaces and colours took alot of tries, also the chice of studio to suit the materials in the render was very important to get right, there images were well learnt from.

Long render Attempts

White Body,Red band black detail

The balance between the heavy black of the lens and the dark kitchen red works well in these models.

The red warms the device up, makes it more friendly to handle and interact with.

The colour also ties in very well with tradition and contemporary kitchens 

White and brushed stainless

The stainless looks very cold with the white, there is essentially no colour and electrolux has a simple colour installment in 99% of their designs.

White and yellow

The use of yellow is an attempt to make the device look more kitchen like, the yellow being related to eggs. Seems a little light with the white combo. The black lens also stands out too much with the light colour combo.

Red And Black

The devils colour choice, this combination forms quite and evil and aggressive aesthetic on a device which is trying to be completely user friendly and relative to the target market of people who use cooking recipes.

Red and white Renders

When venturing into kitchen red i found it hard to see the device fitting in to a range of kitchen styles and colour palettes. It also looks very related to fire engines and contemporary designer furniture and abstractions.

Thinner colour band (elegance) - Final Look

These render feature the new thin colour band, although im not 100% set on the colour yet, the thinner band make the device look a lot more elegant and accurate.

Bottom half colour / Side Decal

The combination of the green and rounded white edges is starting to make the device look a little bit more for dentistry and less for the Electrolux kitchen.

Playing With Colour

White And Green Renders

Here i threw some green in the mix, it seems to make the model look quite toy like and not related to the kitchen enough. What i got out of these quick render is that the majority of the lens and lens casing should be black. For function and look.

Starting to find the Colour band round the device a little large and awkward towards the back, where the lines of the bottom and the band are close to lining up but are slightly off.

Black Renders

This experiment with black put me off using the colour for the whole device because it makes it feel far too executive, like it should be sitting on an office desk projecting stats and graphs.
